Marzano Proficiency Scales
I had the pleasure of attending the June trainings kicking off the implementation of Marzano Research Laboratories' Proficiency Scales. You will undoubtedly learn more about these scales as the year progresses. My take is that they are an excellent way to help differentiate instruction for all learners - including the 'high flyers' in your class.
Should you be new to this work, check out the following link which provides an interesting introduction and some examples of scales to peruse. This doc will also house developing scales as well as handbooks from ACS.
