What is it? What can it mean? All those weird symbols... Well, these are some examples of how third grade students have ended the story of Fat Cat. This decoding activity had students working to figure out symbols of the Nurtz alphabet. Each symbol represents a letter in our alphabet. The final activity was to finish the story - using the Nurtz alphabet! There was only one clue, btw, ask them about it!

A paper copy of a brief introductory letter will go home with our AIG students this week. Fourth grade may already be in transit. I did have students write the times of our groups on the bottom.
