5th Grade Math

Here's a couple of likely math students studying Paschal's Triangle. Ms. Brown and I have been working together to provide for gifted learners within the math enrichment block. I'll soon meet with groups to pursue some math simulations. Exciting!

What is it? What can it mean? All those weird symbols... Well, these are some examples of how third grade students have ended the story of Fat Cat. This decoding activity had students working to figure out symbols of the Nurtz alphabet. Each symbol represents a letter in our alphabet. The final activity was to finish the story - using the Nurtz alphabet! There was only one clue, btw, ask them about it!
