Celebrate Hard Work

You may remember some time back our 4th grade ESG completed (and won!) a simulation wherein they saved space probes. Well, they decided their reward for such hard work would be to spend some time at Jones park - which happened today. I'm happy to say that all had a good time, and there were no injuries! For the record, we did have some organized activity and a healthy snack available. The exercise was really unnecessary as running and screaming was the preferred way to spend their time.

What is it? What can it mean? All those weird symbols... Well, these are some examples of how third grade students have ended the story of Fat Cat. This decoding activity had students working to figure out symbols of the Nurtz alphabet. Each symbol represents a letter in our alphabet. Third graders began our latest work with this single clue as to the code used for Fat Cat's story.  The story, however, was not complete until students used the code (with their own creativity and art work) to craft an ending.
