Team M Wins Great Ocean Rescue

Our fifth grade ESG classes have finally ALL completed the Great Ocean Rescue. In this work, the Monday team - dreadfully set back by many missed days (weather, workdays, holidays...) - finally completed their fourth and final mission today - and WON!

I'll publish final results for all in the coming weeks. Until then, enjoy this impromptu celebration! Congrats to all three teams, too!

What is it? What can it mean? All those weird symbols... Well, these are some examples of how third grade students have ended the story of Fat Cat. This decoding activity had students working to figure out symbols of the Nurtz alphabet. Each symbol represents a letter in our alphabet. Recently, someone asked about lists of literature for students to consider. Here's a list that's organized by topic or genre. Check them out! There's some new and interesting titles!
